Flashback: ‘Being Human’ (2008)

Brit supernatural dramedy Being Human followed flatmates who are, well, “supernaturals.” At the beginning, the show revolved around a ghost, a werewolf, and a vampire—supporting each other in their attempts to live a “normal” life amid all the complications that come from being monsters. The show was created by Toby Whithouse, who has written a number of episodes of Doctor Who (including the Sarah Jane and K-9 episode “School Reunion” and the ghost story two-parter “Under the Lake” and “Before the Flood”), and initially starred Lenora Crichlow as ghost Annie Sawyer, Russell Tovey as werewolf George Sands, and Aidan Turner as vampire John Mitchell. The BBC series ran from 2008-2013 and included a number of cast changes over its run. There was also a 2011-2014 remake series made in Canada.
