Comedy mockumentary follows police investigators tracking supernatural events in New Zealand.

Ever since the hilarious film What We Do in Shadows, Monster Complex has been anxiously awaiting the spinoff show revolving around the paranormal unit of the Wellington Police department. U.S. viewers can join these brave officers for a ride-along when the What We Do in the Shadows spinoff, Wellington Paranormal, arrives on the CW and HBO Max beginning in July 2021!

Wellington Paranormal is a New Zealand mockumentary comedy horror television series. The series is a spin-off of the 2014 film What We Do in the Shadows. Its lead characters, Officers Minogue and O'Leary, debuted in the film as a pair of indifferent police officers.

Wellington Paranormal follows a group of police investigators as they track supernatural events in New Zealand. The crew look into cases of demon possession, haunted houses, and blood bank robberies.

Created by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, Wellington Paranormal stars Mike Minogue, Karen O’Leary, and Cori Gonzalez-Macuer.

Waititi and Clement, who wrote, directed and performed in What We Do in the Shadows, serve as the series' executive producers, while Clement directs four of the six episodes in season 1.

In the United States, the series will debut on The CW on July 11, 2021, with episodes available to stream on HBO Max the day after they air.
