To celebrate Yeoh’s history-making win at the Academy Awards, we’re taking a look at some of her best fight scenes ever.

Michelle Yeoh is a considerable film star who has done a lot of great fight scenes. The latest example is her Oscar-winning role(!) in the 2022 movie Everything Everywhere All at Once. The sci-fi/action/comedy/drama starred Yeoh as a Chinese-American immigrant who must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying everything.

When Yeoh won the Academy Award for her role in the movie, she made history as the first Asian to win an Oscar for lead actress. In fact, Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven of its 11 Academy Award nominations: In addition to Best Actress, the film also won for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), Best Director (the duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing. The movie has actually won lots of other awards, making it the most-awarded movie of all time.

Over the years, Yeoh has become a global celebrity for starring in engaging action movies, often performing her own stunts. To celebrate her big win at the Academy Awards, we’re taking a look at some of the best fight scenes from her career.
