Little Monsters (2019): The zombie comedy where allergies are scarier than zombies (not a complaint)

“You realize that you’re only doing it because you’re dead inside.”

Creating our list of great zombie comedy movies, I had to include the 2019 movie Little Monsters. This is one of my favorite movies.

In Little Monsters, a kindergarten field trip is attacked by a sudden outbreak of zombies. Now, the kids’ teacher, a washed-up musician, and a TV personality have to protect the young children. Starring Lupita Nyong’o, the movie was written and directed by Abe Forsythe. The movie also starred Alexander England, Josh Gad, and Kat Stewart.

(And just to be clear—the headline for this post refers to a scene that moves me to tears. Seriously, please watch this movie.)

Watch the video playlist below for the film’s trailer, a fun clip (I love this movie), and to watch the director and the stars at the Sundance Film Festival talking about a kindergarten class surviving the zombie apocalypse.
