SNL: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet

“There’s Something on the Wing!”

SNL with host Jude Law and musical guest Pearl Jam parodied the iconic Twilight Zone episode starring William Shatner where “there’s something on the wing!” The Mar 13, 2010 episode of Saturday Night Live also featured Bill Hader as Rod Serling.

About the original Twilight Zone episode

William Shatner portrays a man recovering from a nervous breakdown, and the only passenger on an airline flight who sees a horrifying creature on the wing of the plane. The classic episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” aired October 11, 1963 as the third episode of Season 5 of The Twilight Zone.

One of the most popular episodes of The Twilight Zone, elements of the story have been recycled, repeated, and parodied many times in film, television, radio, and music.
